We are effectively shaping a new geoeconomic reality, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev said at the third meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Uzbekistan, APA's special correspondent reports.
“Our countries advocate regional consolidation and the strengthening of cooperation. It is gratifying that Tashkent and Baku are assuming the role of key driving forces of interregional integration.
“Azerbaijan’s accession to the format of consultative meetings has opened up new opportunities for expanding economic and humanitarian cooperation between the two regions. As a result of our joint efforts, we are effectively shaping a new geoeconomic reality, a single and self-sufficient macroregion with enormous potential for joint development.
“Today, we must also discuss other issues of the multifaceted Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan partnership. As for the partnership, you should know that during our meeting in a narrow format, figuratively speaking, we went through all the issues with a pencil in hand, examining every area of our cooperation. We have a mutual goodwill to translate all the positive developments into reality, while also implementing major, large-scale and breakthrough projects in all other areas,” Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
