As a result of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s purposeful political course, it became possible to restore the country’s territorial integrity, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev said in a joint press statement with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, APA's special correspondent reports.
The President of Uzbekistan said he would particularly like to highlight the Azerbaijani President’s purposeful political course.
“It was precisely as a result of this policy that it became possible to restore the country’s territorial integrity and achieve the long-awaited peace and stability. The ancient land of Karabakh is being revived. Social infrastructure is being actively built there, and jobs and enterprises are being created. I saw with my own eyes the work being carried out in Karabakh, and I was pleased to see it. Everything is being done to enable people to return to a peaceful and prosperous life.
“Azerbaijan is our reliable ally, strategic partner and brotherly state. Our relations are based on a common civilizational code. We share common historical roots, centuries-old friendship, unshakable spiritual values, and similar cultures and traditions. It is precisely this deep bond that makes our relations monolithic and impervious to external circumstances,” Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
