The UN General Assembly appreciates the resumption of meetings between the President of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of Armenia and the Munich meeting held between them, followed by the meeting of the ministers of foreign affairs of the two countries, Dennis Francis, President of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, said during a special speech within the XI Global Baku Forum, APA reports.
"We believe and expect that more steps will be taken and progress will be made towards achieving and restoring peace and security. The UN General Assembly hopes that a peace treaty will be signed between Azerbaijan and Armenia within the norms and principles of international law," he said.
