"The territory of Azerbaijan was occupied by a neighboring country. The OSCE Minsk Group was established and this body did not resolve the conflict," Volkan Bozkir, president of the 75th session of the UN General Assembly said during the panel on “Fixing the Fractured World” held within the framework of the 11th Global Baku Forum, APA reports.

He underlined that Azerbaijan resolved the issue by military means and liberated its occupied lands.

"If we do not solve the problems within the framework of the institutions, the countries have to take steps themselves," the Turkish diplomat added.

In his speech, Volkan Bozkir also touched upon France's role in the Garabagh conflict: "France was a member of the Minsk Group, but today it sends weapons to Armenia and openly supports this country. Taking such steps for the elections in France and the Armenian voters is not right."
