Portugal’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Paulo Rangel held a phone conversation with Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry told APA.
The ministers reviewed the risks to regional security amid the war in the Middle East. In this context, it was emphasized that the drone attack carried out from Iranian territory against Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic is unacceptable and was condemned.
During the phone call, the sides also discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Portugal, including political dialogue, economic cooperation, and other issues of mutual interest. The ministers stressed the importance of continuing mutual contacts.
