According to statistics, hate crimes towards Muslims in the US were previously 25%, since 2000 this number has been increasing, said Sultan Ahmad Ali, Chairman of the Muslim Institute Research Center in Islamabad and London, Prime Minister of Junagadh State, at the panel titled “Multiculturalism, Islam, and Clash of Civilizations Theory: Rethinking Islamophobia” within the international scientific conference “Embracing Diversity: Tackling Islamophobia in 2024” held in Baku, APA reports.

"In general our study of the cause of Islamophobia, which is very widespread in the 21st century, does not mean solving the problem. Firstly, ignorance about Islamophobia should be eliminated. For example, Islamophobic thinking is more common among those who are unaware of Islam and Muslims," he stated.

According to Sultan Ahmad Ali, first of all, students should be taught Islamic values as they are: "This is an important point. Students need to have real knowledge about Islam. For that, Sufi education should be held in the universities of our countries."
