PM Asadov: Azerbaijani society, international community once again saw President Ilham Aliyev as strong leader

Azerbaijani society and the international community have once again become convinced that President Ilham Aliyev is a strong leader, said Prime Minister Ali Asadov during the presentation of the “Report on the activities of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2025,” APA reports.

The Prime Minister noted that amid the complex geopolitical processes, increasing tensions and risks currently unfolding in the region, Azerbaijan’s sovereignty and the inviolability of its borders are being reliably ensured thanks to the consistent and pragmatic foreign policy course of the President, his far-sighted strategic vision, and principled position based on national interests: “As is known, last week an incident occurred involving the use of unmanned aerial vehicles launched from Iranian territory against the territory of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan. Against the backdrop of this unpleasant incident, Azerbaijani society and the international community once again became convinced that President Ilham Aliyev is a strong leader who protects the security of his people and always stands behind his nation. I would also like to add that the recent events in the region demonstrate how well-founded and necessary the decision to keep Azerbaijan’s land borders closed has been, and at the same time serve as another confirmation of the far-sighted and wise state policy of the President.”
