Panel sessions of the International Bakuvi Conference dedicated to Sayyid Yahya Bakuvi were held as part of the 7th meeting of the heads of Muslim Religious Administrations of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), APA reports.
At the conference, Ravan Hasanov, a representative of the Center for Analysis of International Relations and Multiculturalism, said that the gathering of religious leaders of the Turkic world is an important event.
He emphasized that the conference is of great importance.
Musa Serdar Celebi, Director General of the European Turkic-Islamic Union, spoke about the importance of solidarity and unity within the OTS. He said that it is necessary to be united and stand in solidarity in order to achieve greater success within the Organization of Turkic States.
At the International Bakuvi Conference, Ayatollah Sheikh Mohammad Reza Mustafa Manezhari Naini, a scholar of Iran’s Qom Seminary, emphasized the need to prepare a comprehensive encyclopedia on Islamic science in Azerbaijan. He said that Azerbaijan today is a country that preserves within its territory a personality who transcended the geographical boundaries of the Caucasus and left a great mark on Islamic spirituality.
As part of the conference, the heads of Muslim religious administrations of the Turkic world came together, exchanged views and experiences, and held discussions on the role of religious institutions in modern societies.
