The “Azerbaijan’s Chairmanship: Initiatives, Cooperation, Results” panel session of the Media Forum on “Building Trust Through Media in a Polarized World” has been held, APA reports.
Speaking at the panel, Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Samaddin Asadov noted that during Azerbaijan’s chairmanship of CICA, the focus has been on developing cross-sectoral cooperation in the areas of economic development, digital systems, transport networks and environmental sustainability.
Deputy Chairperson of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Sadagat Gahramanova said that the role of the media is increasing further amid rapid changes.
She noted that the media serves not only to disseminate accurate and reliable information but also to foster a responsible approach and public values.
Chairman of Türkiye’s Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) Mehmet Daniş said that Türkiye supports CICA’s transformation into an international organization.
He emphasized that at a time when trust in multilateral platforms is declining, the importance of institutions such as CICA is increasing.
Farhad Mammadov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Center for Analysis of International Relations, emphasized in his speech that CICA could become an international organization.
He noted that the importance of regional organizations is increasing against the backdrop of global instability.
Farhad Mammadov said that important initiatives aimed at the institutional development of the organization have been put forward during Azerbaijan’s chairmanship of CICA.
