The head of the government of Pakistan Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif intends to participate in the COP29 conference to be held in Baku in November this year, Pakistan's ambassador to Azerbaijan Qasim Mohiuddin told journalists, APA reports.
The ambassador emphasized that both countries have strong relations not only bilaterally, but also within international platforms: "I highly value the friendship between our countries. In the recent past, the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev visited our country. I believe that both the diplomatic representation of your state in Pakistan, as well as our side, will promote cooperation in the fields of economy, defense, as well as education, including relations between our peoples. We will use all possible means to develop it. Pakistan has always stood by Azerbaijan, especially in the Karabakh issue, and supported its rightful position."
