Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif will pay an official visit to Azerbaijan on November 7–8 to take part in the events dedicated to the fifth anniversary of Victory Day, APA reports, citing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan.
The information stated that, at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif will pay an official visit to Azerbaijan to participate in the events held in Baku on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of Victory Day.
As part of the visit, the Prime Minister will take part in the official Victory Day ceremonies and hold a meeting with President Ilham Aliyev.
During the meeting, the entire spectrum of bilateral relations will be reviewed, and new directions will be identified to further deepen cooperation in various areas such as trade and investment, energy, defense, education, and regional connectivity.
“Pakistan and Azerbaijan have long-term brotherly relations based on common faith, history, culture, and mutual trust. Both countries also closely cooperate on regional and international platforms such as the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), and the United Nations (UN). The Prime Minister’s visit will once again reaffirm Pakistan’s unwavering support for Azerbaijan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and will contribute to the further advancement of the strategic partnership between the two brotherly countries,” the information stated.
