It is extremely important to make every effort to bring trade and economic cooperation between Russia and Azerbaijan onto the desired trajectory, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk said at a meeting of the Azerbaijan-Russia Business Council, APA-Economics reports.
“During a conversation with Shahin Abdullayevich yesterday, we noted that the tragic events that occurred about a year and a half ago weakened our relations. Today, it is extremely important to make every effort to restore the lost momentum and bring trade and economic cooperation onto the desired trajectory. This is primarily the task of representatives of business circles,” Overchuk added.
He spoke about the importance of developing relations: “We have maintained close contacts and guided everyone toward the need to develop relations. Russia and Azerbaijan are the closest neighbors. No one should doubt the strength of our relations. Even sad events remain in the past and open up new opportunities for development that both countries deserve.”
