OTS Secretary General: Expansion of digital integration among Turkic states identified as strategic goal

The expansion of digital integration among Turkic states has been identified as a strategic goal, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) Kubanychbek Omuraliev said at the informal Summit of the Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States, APA’s correspondent dispatched to Turkistan reports.

“Important work has been carried out toward the implementation of electronic passport and digital identification systems. Currently, cooperation in this field is ongoing between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, as well as among Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan. These steps serve to further deepen integration and economic ties within the Turkic world. During the events held in Bishkek in 2024, special attention was paid to the development of the digital economy and the strengthening of technological cooperation. Today, the Turkic states have entered an important stage in the formation of digital industrial platforms. The application of new technologies has become one of the main conditions for economic development,” Kubanychbek Omuraliev noted.
