Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) has shared a post in his X account regarding the plane crash near Aktau, APA reports.
"I am deeply saddened by the tragic plane crash near Aktau, Kazakhstan, involving the Azerbaijani airline. My deepest condolences go out to the families who have lost their loved ones, and my heart is with the survivors as they endure this tragic ordeal. I wish a swift recovery to those injured and send strength to everyone affected by this tragedy. My thoughts and prayers are with all those impacted, and with our nations as we stand together in this moment of sorrow," the post reads.
Note that an Azerbaijan Airlines aircraft performing flight J2-8243 from Baku to Grozny, an Embraer 190 airplane, crashed 3 km near the city of Aktau. There were 67 passengers and 5 crew members on board.
