OTS expresses condolences over AZAL plane crash in Aktau

The Organization of Turkic States (OTS) has expressed its condolences regarding the crash of the Azerbaijan Airlines aircraft in Aktau, Kazakhstan on its social media account, APA reports.

"The tragic crash of the Azerbaijan Airlines aircraft operating the Baku-Grozny flight near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan has deeply saddened us. We extend our condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and wish a speedy recovery to those who survived the crash. All our prayers are with our brothers and sisters affected by this tragic event. In this sorrowful time, we wish patience and condolences to all the affected countries," the condolence message stated.

Note that an Azerbaijan Airlines aircraft performing flight J2-8243 from Baku to Grozny, an Embraer 190 airplane, crashed 3 km near the city of Aktau. There were 67 passengers and 5 crew members on board.
