OTS Deputy Secretary General: Azerbaijan serves as a bridge in the Turkic world

The Republic of Azerbaijan has provided invaluable contributions and unwavering support in strengthening cooperation within the Turkic World, said Ömer Kocaman, Deputy Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States, during the conference themed “The Organization of Turkic States as a Regional Actor in an Era of Global Uncertainty,” APA reports.

“As the President stated, the Turkic World possesses a vast geography, a wide territory, significant military power, a large economy, natural resources, transportation routes, and a young and growing population, as well as nations with a common origin. Can there be a stronger union than this? Of course not! We must make joint efforts to ensure that the Organization of Turkic States becomes an important actor and a center of power on the global stage. We can achieve this only together,” said Kocaman.

Noting that Azerbaijan is a highly significant part of the Turkic World in terms of the development of trade, transportation, and connectivity within the Turkic region due to its strategic geographical position, the speaker highlighted that “Azerbaijan plays the role of a bridge in the Turkic World.”
