"OSCE has implemented green port projects over recent years," said Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov during a joint press conference with OSCE Secretary-General Feridun Sinirlioğlu, APA reports.
Mr. Bayramov noted that the Baku International Sea Trade Port could be part of their shared agenda: “The OSCE Secretary General visited the port today and was briefed on its expansion. These initiatives are based on the agreement signed with the OSCE in 2022. Major infrastructure projects are being implemented across the country to enhance transport capacity. The Baku Trade Port holds strategic importance in this context. It aligns with the green port concept by meeting energy efficiency criteria. New investments are also being made in the port to increase its cargo capacity to 25 million tons.”
Feridun Sinirlioğlu stated that they discussed expanding cooperation in transportation and other sectors: “The OSCE is ready to support Azerbaijan on strategic matters. I appreciate the high-level cooperation we have witnessed today.”
