Opening of the corridor through Zangezur will ensure wider use of the opportunities of the Middle Corridor - Hikmet Hajiyev

China and Azerbaijan are cooperating closely, Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan - Head of the Department of Foreign Policy Affairs of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan, told journalists, APA reports.

Hikmet Hajiyev said that China also provides technological accessibility for the countries of the Global South. Drawing attention to the fact that the trade turnover between China and Azerbaijan has increased by 40 percent, Hikmet Hajiyev noted that this is not the end: "Azerbaijan and China will continue to further develop bilateral economic and trade cooperation. This cooperation currently also covers the areas of artificial intelligence, renewable energy, and digital transformation."

Drawing attention to the importance of China-Azerbaijan cooperation in terms of wide use of the potential of the Middle Corridor, Hikmet Hajiyev said that the opening of the corridor, which is included in the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace agreement and passes through Zangezur, will ensure wider use of the opportunities of the Middle Corridor.
