The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) expresses its strong condemnation of the targeting of the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan by two Iranian drones, one of which hit the Nakhchivan airport building, while the other landed in the vicinity of a school, APA reports.
The General Secretariat condemns the targeting of civilian facilities and endangering the lives of civilians, in violation of the sovereignty of the Republic of Azerbaijan and a threat to its security and stability.
The General Secretariat affirms its full solidarity with the Republic of Azerbaijan and stands by its side in protecting its sovereignty, security, and stability.
The OIC General Secretariat also calls for the immediate cessation of such provocative acts that would escalate tension and destabilize the region, stressing that targeting Member States or threatening their security is a violation of the principles of international law and contradicts the foundations of international relations based on good neighborliness and mutual respect.
