"Russia is closely watching developments along the Azerbaijan-Armenia border," said Maria Zakharova, official spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, during a briefing today, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
She urged Baku and Yerevan to exercise restraint, take steps toward de-escalation, and avoid any actions that could heighten tensions. "All outstanding issues must be resolved exclusively through peaceful, political, and diplomatic means," Zakharova emphasized.
The spokesperson reaffirmed Russia’s readiness to assist in resolving remaining disputes for a peace treaty, reopening transport links under trilateral agreements, border delimitation, and addressing humanitarian concerns.
