The reason for the postponement of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office's visit to Azerbaijan has been revealed, APA reports.
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Aykhan Hajizada, said that the visit of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Finland’s Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen, to the region was expected to start from the Republic of Azerbaijan.
"This visit was scheduled for October 13. However, due to President Ilham Aliyev being invited to the Middle East Peace Summit and the participation of both himself and the delegation he leads in the summit, the mentioned visit was postponed. Currently, work is underway to determine new dates for the Finnish Foreign Minister’s visit to our country," the MFA official noted.
Note that the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office visited Armenia today and met with Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan. She will also visit Georgia.
