North Macedonian President: There is also war in Europe, this is the last call

The Baku Global Forum is an excellent opportunity to take the first step toward solving the problem, and I thank President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan for creating this opportunity, said the President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, in her statement to journalists, APA reports.

The President of North Macedonia mentioned that she would deliver a speech at a panel during the Forum and said they would talk about the status of the United Nations: "If the processes continue like this, what awaits us in the future? There are many issues such as energy, competition, and partnership. I have already raised many unanswered questions. But we must start somewhere. Why? Because this year we are celebrating the anniversary of the United Nations. The UN was a project against colonialism and for peace, yet we are facing war. The European Union was also created as a peace project, but there is war in Europe as well. So, this is the final bell. What will happen to the UN, the Council of Europe, and the international courts in The Hague and Strasbourg? Right now, we need a bit more idealism because we are tired of realism."

Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova also mentioned that President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan raised many open questions at the opening ceremony of the Forum and also talked about double standards.
