National coordinator: Baku Initiative Group operating in Azerbaijan is working for our freedom

"Although Azerbaijan's geography and culture are far from us, the Baku Initiative Group operating here works for our freedom," said Jean-Jacob Bisep, the national coordinator of the FID Guadeloupe Section, at the thematic conference titled "Towards the Decolonization of Guadeloupe! Challenges and Perspectives," organized by the Baku Initiative Group, APA reports.

The speaker, who said that the people he represented were fighting not only politically but also culturally, thanked the Baku Initiative Group for its support.

Jean-Jacob Bisep, stating that his people face cultural discrimination, emphasized the importance of their right to self-determination being extended to them as well:

"Although Azerbaijan's geography and culture are far from us, the Baku Initiative Group operating here works for our freedom. Today, we must fight not only politically but also culturally. Because France’s main goal is to distance us from reality. We want to determine our fate ourselves in economic, political, social, and cultural terms. It is impossible to conduct this struggle alone. Therefore, all the peoples of the world must support us.
