Yesterday, a meeting was organized at the National Defense Academy in Vienna, Austria, by the International Center for European Union Studies (ICEUR), between the Chairman of the National Front Party, MP Razi Nurullayev and the Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Musavat Party Arif Hajili, the Chairman of the Bright Armenia Party Edmon Marukyan and the member of the ruling Civil Contract Party, MP Arusya Yulhakyan, Azerbaijani MP Razi Nurullayev told APA.
R. Nurullayev noted that ICEUR organizes such meetings every year, bringing together representatives of 2-3 parties from Azerbaijan and Armenia.
According to him, these meetings discuss Azerbaijan-Armenia relations.
Razi Nurullayev said that the Armenian opposition is distinguished by its irreconcilable and biased position, and that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is making concessions, and against this background, the signing of the peace treaty is being delayed: “We noted that Armenia, putting itself on a par with the victorious Azerbaijan, is putting forward conditions almost like a victorious country. Azerbaijan’s position is that it is impossible to hastily sign a peace treaty without resolving all disputes and leave problems for future generations.
In order to conclude a peace treaty, Armenia must amend its constitution, apply jointly with Azerbaijan to dissolve the Minsk Group, refrain from provocations against Azerbaijan by the "Yerkrapah" military organization in the border areas, establish the right of the Western Azerbaijan Community to return to its ancestral lands, and put an end to the activities of the remnants of the so-called regime on the territory of Armenia. It turned out that the Armenian opposition intends to put the negotiations on the Russian table and resume the process. They openly say that as soon as they come to power, they will nullify all the steps taken by Pashinyan. We once again emphasized Azerbaijan's unchanging position and invited them to demonstrate an objective position for the establishment of peace in the region."
Razi Nurullayev revealed that such a meeting would be organized next year.
