Moscow to host trilateral meeting among Azerbaijan, Russia, and Iran in field of transport

"Moscow will host next trilateral meeting of Transport Ministers of Azerbaijan, Iran, and Russia on January 28," said Minister of Roads and Urban Development of the Islamic Republic of Iran Farzana Sadig at the 16th meeting of Iran-Azerbaijan Joint Economic Commission, APA reports.

She noted that Azerbaijan's strategic position between Iran and Russia creates special opportunities for developing trilateral cooperation and increasing transit potential: "The meeting nulled projects aimed at transporting 15 million tonnes of cargo over five years, especially through the North-South transport corridor. In this context, the next trilateral meeting of the transport ministers of Iran, Azerbaijan and Russia will be held in Moscow on January 28."
