The meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) was held in the Russian Federation's capital Moscow, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.
Azerbaijan's Prime Minister Ali Asadov also attended the meeting.
Speaking at the meeting, Azerbaijan's Prime Minister congratulated Russia on its successful chairmanship of the CIS this year and wished Tajikistan success in its chairmanship of the organization in 2025.
Ali Asadov highlighted the significance of the issues on the meeting's agenda, which included nearly 20 paragraphs related to various areas of cooperation, as well as the economy, transport, humanitarian fields, finance, and budget matters.
Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of the Priority Action Plan for Humanitarian Cooperation for 2025–2026, which will be approved as a result of the meeting.
At the conclusion of the meeting, several documents were signed by the heads of government of the CIS member states.

Later, the Prime Minister visited the Bauman Moscow State Technical University, where the CIS Council of Heads of Government meeting will take place. Delegations from CIS countries toured the university campus and visited the Quantum Park. Engineering projects by students from CIS countries were presented to the heads of government.
