On March 6, 2026, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates of the Kingdom of Morocco, Nasser Bourita, held a phone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told APA.
Bayramov informed his counterpart in detail about the drone attacks carried out by the Islamic Republic of Iran toward the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic on March 5, 2026.
The minister noted that such actions against Azerbaijan’s territory contradict the country’s sovereignty and constitute a serious violation of the norms and principles of international law, while also contributing to rising tensions in the region.
Minister Nasser Bourita strongly condemned the drone attacks against Azerbaijan’s territory, expressing concern over the incident and voicing solidarity with the country.
During the phone conversation, the sides also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
