“The world's complete rejection of nuclear weapons can create hope for our future,” said Nambaryn Enkhbayar, the former President of Mongolia, at the panel discussion in XI Baku Global Forum, APA reports.

He said that nuclear weapons, their use as a threat are a danger to humanity.

He also described it as a problem that some countries use the veto power for their interests in international organizations: “We are not able to do anything about the veto power, we should change this. Because we may discuss global problems and conflicts, propose solutions, and unite, but in the end, any country can veto and block this proposal and solution. Maybe reforms can make the UN more responsible.”

He said that trying not to make this global institution a platform of powers is needed: “A multilateral world should be our goal. A multipolar world can bring justice, and equality. We should think about the complex world, every country in this world should be involved in the processes, our world should be consensus-based, not veto-based."
