President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu expressed her condolences over the crash of an AZAL plane in the city of Aktau, Kazakhstan, she has shared a post in this regard on her X account, APA reports.
"Deeply saddened by the tragic Azerbaijan Airlines plane crash near Aktau, Kazakhstan. Our thoughts are with the victims, their families, and all those affected.
Wishing strength to the survivors and the rescue teams on the ground," she noted.
Note that an Azerbaijan Airlines aircraft performing flight J2-8243 from Baku to Grozny, an Embraer 190 airplane, crashed 3 km near the city of Aktau. There were 67 passengers and 5 crew members on board.
