Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova, Mihai Popșoi, has condemned the drone attacks carried out by Iran in the direction of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, the Press and Public Relations Department of the Milli Majlis told APA.
The Speaker of the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament), Sahiba Gafarova, condemned the drone attacks carried out by Iran toward Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic during a meeting with Mihai Popșoi today, stating that these attacks against Azerbaijan are unacceptable and have been met with outrage by the Azerbaijani people.
Mihai Popșoi, in turn, said that Moldova strongly condemns these treacherous attacks and expressed solidarity with Azerbaijan on this issue.
It was noted that Azerbaijan has also supported Moldova on many issues, and that the two countries have provided mutual support to each other on matters of territorial integrity and sovereignty. Mihai Popșoi also expressed his gratitude for the support provided by Azerbaijan during the energy crisis in Moldova.
Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova informed the guest about the ongoing normalization and peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia. The guest stated that his country welcomes Azerbaijan’s initiative and leadership in the peace process.
During the meeting, views were also exchanged on other issues of mutual interest.
