The initiator of the peace agreement process with Armenia has been Azerbaijan, and we have contributed to this process, said Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister, Jeyhun Bayramov, during a joint press conference with Slovenia’s Foreign Minister, Tanja Fajon, APA reports.
According to him, reaching an agreement on the text of the peace treaty is significant: “In our meeting with Ararat Mirzoyan (Armenian Foreign Minister - ed.), we once again reminded Armenia of Azerbaijan’s legitimate demands in order to fully finalize the peace process and bring it to the signing stage. Armenia is trying to present these as new conditions. This is not the case—we have been expecting the implementation of these demands from Armenia since 2022. The importance of removing territorial claims from Armenia’s Constitution and the dissolution of the unnecessary Minsk Group was once again brought to Armenia's attention.”
