Memorandum signed between Supreme Courts of Azerbaijan and Georgia

A meeting was held at the Supreme Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan on September 30 with a delegation led by Chairperson of the Supreme Court of Georgia Nino Kadagidze, who is visiting Azerbaijan, the Supreme Court told APA.

Chairman of the Supreme Court Inam Karimov said that the friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia create favorable conditions for expanding ties in the judicial sphere. It was emphasized that mutual visits and continuous dialogue contribute to the exchange of experience and the development of cooperation.

During the meeting, information was provided on judicial and legal reforms being implemented in Azerbaijan and measures taken to increase the efficiency and accessibility of justice. The activities of the Supreme Court in establishing uniform judicial practice were also highlighted.

During the discussions, the importance of applying modern technologies in the activities of courts and exchanging experience in this field was noted.

Chairperson of the Supreme Court of Georgia Nino Kadagidze expressed gratitude for the warm reception and emphasized the importance attached to developing relations between the supreme courts of the two countries and the benefits of mutual exchange of experience.

At the end of the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation was signed between the Supreme Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Supreme Court of Georgia.

The memorandum is aimed at promoting the mutual exchange of experience in the judicial sphere, enhancing the professional knowledge and skills of judges and court staff, as well as further strengthening bilateral relations between the supreme courts of the two countries.
