Mayor of Kuala Lumpur says XII Global Baku Forum is good platform to discuss global developments

The Global Baku Forum is currently a good platform to discuss global developments, the mayor of Kuala Lumpur, former executive director of the UN Human Settlements Programme (UN-HABITAT), Maimunah Mohd Sharif told journalists, APA reports.

She expressed her gratitude to the Azerbaijani government for the invitation to the XII Global Baku Forum:

"First of all, I would like to thank the Azerbaijani government for inviting me to the Baku Global Forum for the second time. You can see that all the participants here come from various political platforms, economies, governments, the UN, and the business sector."

The mayor of Kuala Lumpur said that the Global Baku Forum is currently a good platform to discuss global developments:

"I think it is currently a very good platform to discuss developments on a global scale, to share ideas on how to move forward, and to gather new perspectives, especially on youth participation. Tomorrow, I will discuss the role of cities in the global crisis and climate change on this platform."
