"Manifestations of Islamophobia are increasing in European countries, especially in France," Senior Advisor to Egypt's Grand Mufti, Secretary-General of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide Ibrahim Mahmoud Negm said during a panel discussion at the international scientific conference on “Embracing Diversity: Tackling Islamophobia in 2024”, APA reports.
"Islamophobia is also specifically formed as a result of misinformation. Religious institutions, Muslim, spiritual leaders are not coming forward and speaking on behalf of Islam - we are talking about real Islamic points as we understand them. This leads to the formation of wrong thinking."
