Malaysian ambassador's diplomatic mission in Azerbaijan comes to an end-PHOTO

On June 19, Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received Ambassador of Malaysia to the Republic of Azerbaijan Ahmad Kamrizamil Bin Mohd Rza on the occasion of the completion of his diplomatic mission in the country, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told APA.

The sides exchanged views on the current state and prospects of friendly relations and cooperation between Azerbaijan and Malaysia. The parties emphasized the importance of developing political dialogue, intensifying mutual visits and contacts, expanding trade and economic ties, and promoting cooperation in the fields of energy, education, tourism, humanitarian affairs, and culture.

The meeting also discussed cooperation between Azerbaijan and Malaysia within international organizations. The sides expressed satisfaction with the effective cooperation between the two countries within the framework of the Non-Aligned Movement, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and other multilateral platforms. They also noted the importance of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) Summit and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Summit, which will be held in Azerbaijan this year and next year, for further expanding cooperation.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the current situation in the region in the post-conflict period, the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process, and prospects for regional cooperation.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov thanked Ambassador Ahmad Kamrizamil Bin Mohd Rza for his contribution to the development of bilateral relations during his tenure in Azerbaijan and wished him success in his future endeavors.

Ambassador Ahmad Kamrizamil Bin Mohd Rza expressed gratitude for the support provided during his diplomatic mission in Azerbaijan and voiced confidence that relations between Azerbaijan and Malaysia would continue to develop.

The sides also exchanged views on other regional and international issues of mutual interest.
