France will help the restoration of peace and development of dialogue between Armenia and Azerbaijan, said French President Emmanuel Macron in a meeting with the acting prime minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan in Paris, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports citing TASS.
“As co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group jointly with Russia and the United States, France intends to do everything possible to achieve de-escalation, including the resumption of direct dialogue between the parties,” Macron emphasized.
Speaking about the incidents on the Armenia-Azerbaijan border, the French President said that delimitation of borders should be carried out only through negotiations, without using force.
Macron also noted that he intends to discuss humanitarian aid and economic cooperation with Pashinyan in Paris.
