Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan have discussed the situation in the South Caucasus, APA's Moscow bureau reports.
Lavrov said at a joint press conference following his meeting with his Turkish counterpart that the situation in the region had been discussed during the talks.
The Russian foreign minister stated that Moscow and Ankara are interested in supporting activities within the framework of the "3+3" regional cooperation platform.
Lavrov emphasized that the doors of the "3+3" platform remain open to Georgia.
