Russia has urged Armenia and Azerbaijan to exercise restraint, Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov noted in this regard while commenting on the tension that happened at the Azerbaijan-Armenia border, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.
He said that worrying reports are coming from the contact line between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
"This is alarming news coming from the contact line. We urge both sides to exercise restraint. We will observe with focus," the Kremlin Spokesperson stressed.
Peskov noted that such incidents do not help the progress of the process of negotiations and do not draw the signing of a peace agreement between Yerevan and Baku near.
Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation stated that he hopes the process of negotiations for the signing of the peace agreement will continue.
