“If healthy economic interests prevail over political interests, the role of diplomacy will be stronger all over the world. The South Caucasus is a very good example of this,” said Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze during a panel discussion held within the framework of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, APA’s local bureau reports
He noted that there had previously been many problems and specific conflicts in the region.
“However, at present, we, the countries of the South Caucasus, are focusing more on diplomatic, pragmatic solutions and strengthening connectivity. This serves not only to maintain peace in the region but also to improve the welfare of our peoples. I believe this is a very good example, and all nations of the world should take it into account. Instead of burning bridges, we should build them,” Kobakhidze added.
