Kobakhidze: Peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia creates good ground for regional development

“Maintaining stability in the region is very important. Georgia has recently been pleased with the trends developing in the region,” Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said during the 15th meeting of the Georgia–Armenia Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, APA’s local bureau reports.

According to him, the peace agreement signed between Azerbaijan and Armenia is of great importance.

“All this creates a very good basis for us to pay greater attention to strengthening and developing our region,” Kobakhidze added.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that with Georgia’s support, trilateral trade and relations between Armenia, Georgia, and Azerbaijan have deepened.

He noted that peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan is improving the environment in the region.

Pashinyan thanked his Georgian counterpart for the continuous support for the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
