Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's visit will contribute to strengthening relations - Ambassador

"The Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has appraised his visit to Azerbaijan and stressed several times during his speeches that it was a very benefiting and comprehensive visit," Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Azerbaijan Alim Bayel said during the 3rd meeting of the Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan Expert Council in Baku, APA reports.

Diplomat noted his confidence that this visit will contribute to the strengthening of relations between the countries.

Speaking about the works carried out for the development of the relations between the countires, Alim Bayel noted that in comparison with 2022, the volume of cargo transportation between the countries has increased by 65% last year: "Kazakhstan's oil and uranium are exported to world markets through Azerbaijan, the laying of a fiber-optic line through the bottom of the Caspian Sea will play a major role in the transmission of information between the Asia and Europe."

The diplomat called the opening of the Kurmangazy Children's Creativity Center, the gift of Kazakhstan to the brotherly Azerbaijani people, in the city of Fuzuli liberated from occupation as a significant event.

Touching upon the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change to be held this year, Alim Bayel stated that the Kazakh leader has received an invitation to participate in the said event and his participation in such an esteemed event will play an important role in the development of the relations between the countries.
