Kazakh Minister: We intend to expand co-op in higher education field with Azerbaijan

There are large empty lands in Kazakhstan, and our government is ready to support the opening of branches of foreign universities in these areas, said Sayasat Nurbek, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan during his speech at a roundtable on expanding cooperation in higher education between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, APA reports.

He noted that Kazakhstan also wants to cooperate with foreign universities that Azerbaijan collaborates with.

"Yesterday, the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan visited Baku and he met with the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan during the visit. The Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov thanked Prime Minister of Kazakhstan for the assistance in the investigation of the plane crash. This once again shows that the relations between our countries are at a high level and we are brotherly countries. There are large empty lands in Kazakhstan, and our government is ready to support the opening of branches of foreign universities in these areas. At the same time, we also want to cooperate with foreign universities that Azerbaijan works with, such as Italian universities. Cooperation with foreign universities will help us develop in the field of research. Kazakhstan has rare metals, and we also aim to strengthen cooperation with Azerbaijan in this field," said the Kazakh minister.

He emphasized that Kazakhstan intends to expand cooperation with Azerbaijan in the field of higher education.
