Today, relations between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan are at their highest stage of development, said Amina Kosbayeva, an expert at the Eurasian Integration Institute, APA’s correspondent dispatched to Astana reports.
Amina Kosbayeva said that there are numerous agreements and cooperation ties between the two countries in various fields: “These two states, located on opposite shores of the Caspian Sea, play a key role in the development of the Middle Corridor. As a natural result of this cooperation, trade turnover has increased sixfold over the past five years, since 2020. The goal of both states is to raise trade turnover to 1 billion US dollars, and there is sufficient potential and capacity for this. Azerbaijan demonstrates active progress in the export of industrial and non-ferrous metallurgy products, which is also important for Kazakhstan, as Kazakhstan is seeking to diversify its economy. Within the framework of this cooperation, the Kazakhstan-Azerbaijan business forum to be held is regarded as a key event that will practically implement the agreements reached by the leaders of the two countries.”
