Kamilov: New transport corridors will strengthen cooperation between Central Asia and the Caucasus

New transport corridors will strengthen interregional cooperation, said Abdulaziz Kamilov, Adviser on Foreign Policy to the President of Uzbekistan, APA reports.

He said that one of the most important topics discussed within the forum is the development of transport corridors. He emphasized the importance of this issue, particularly for Uzbekistan.

“Honorable President of Azerbaijan spoke about the Middle Corridor, and we held many discussions about it during a special panel,” Abdulaziz Kamilov said.

He added that this corridor will serve as a serious channel between two major regions and will play a special role in the creation and opening of energy and transport corridors.

“This corridor will play a major role not only in the economic sphere but also in the development of cultural and humanitarian relations. Forum participants also noted that new tendencies further strengthen regional cooperation.”

Kamilov stressed that these initiatives will strengthen strategic cooperation between Central Asia and the Caucasus and contribute to the development of regional stability.
