Joint Commission of Governments of Azerbaijan and Romania signed Cooperation documents -PHOTO

The 8th meeting of the Joint Commission on trade-economic relations and scientific-technical cooperation between the Governments of Azerbaijan and Romania was held in Baku, APA reports.

The delegation led by Romanian Co-Chair of the Commission, Minister of Energy of Romania Sebastian Ioan Burduja is on a visit in Azerbaijan to participate in the meeting.

During the one-on-one meeting of the Azerbaijani Co-Chair of the Commission, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population Sahil Babayev and S.I. Burduja, views were exchanged on the works done in the field of development of bilateral cooperation in the past period and the agenda of the 8th meeting of the Commission.

As the continuation of the dynamics of the development of economic ties of Azerbaijan and Romania, it was noted that the trade turnover between the two countries continues to rise and it increased by 29.3% last year as well.

At the meeting, discussions were held on future cooperation directions in energy, transport, investments, agriculture, social, educational, humanitarian, infrastructure, construction and other fields.

Later, S. Babayev and S.I. Burduja signed the Protocol of the 8th meeting of the Joint Commission on trade-economic relations and scientific-technical cooperation between the Governments of Azerbaijan and Romania.

Furthermore, Chairman of the Food Safety Agency of Azerbaijan (AFSA) Goshgar Tahmazli and President of the National Sanitary Veterinary and Food Safety Authority of Romania, Secretary of State Alexandru Nicolae Bociu signed Memorandums of Understanding on cooperation in the fields of veterinary medicine and food safety.
