Azerbaijan actively continued its diplomatic efforts during 2020–2023, said Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov at a special meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers dedicated to President Ilham Aliyev’s visit to Washington, APA reports.
The minister noted that the OSCE Minsk Group was sidelined from the process: “Azerbaijan took serious steps to ensure lasting peace in the region. It openly declared that the Karabakh issue is an internal matter of Azerbaijan. During this period, despite certain achievements in peace negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, Armenia’s rapid militarization was the main obstacle to the completion of the normalization process.”
