On April 14, 2026, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Galuzin, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told APA.
During the meeting, the sides discussed political, economic, trade, and humanitarian aspects of Azerbaijan–Russia relations, as well as regional and international security issues of mutual interest.
The importance of mutual visits and contacts in terms of discussing issues on the cooperation agenda was emphasized.
The sides noted that the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation plays an important role in the development of bilateral economic relations, and held discussions on ongoing work and future directions within this mechanism.
Other issues of mutual interest were also discussed during the meeting, and the prospects for future cooperation were reviewed.
