Today, a forum on “Azerbaijan, Italy, EU: bilateral cooperation and energy security”, with the organization of the Baku Political Science Club (BPSC), the Center of Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center) and the famous Italian "ISIA" think tank was held in the Senate in Europe, APA reports.
The main purpose of the forum was the further development of Azerbaijan-Italy cooperation, the presentation of Azerbaijan's new energy policy and the demonstration of Azerbaijan’s capabilities in the region.
The event was broadcasted live on the website of the Senate.
ISIA President Mario Morgoni who made an opening speech, Member of Parliament and Business Activities Commission Chamber of Deputies, BPSC chairman Zaur Mammadov and AIR Center head Farid Shafiyev noted that they are certain the forum will be productive as they touched on its relevance at the meeting that was attended by more than 60 guests – Members of Parliament, political scientists, economists, investors, diplomats of foreign countries in Rome.
Later, there were presentations on topics such as green energy and traditional energy, communication-transport, investments.
Italian experts noted that Azerbaijan is a reliable partner for official Rome and EU and holding COP29 in Azerbaijan is an indicator of Baku's influence in the international arena.
After the event, the Italian investors stated that they are interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan not only in energy, but also in other areas of the economy, and stressed that they will visit Azerbaijan in the near future.
In the end, a memorandum was signed between BPSC and ISIA, AIR Center and ISIA.
