Italy–Azerbaijan relations are at a very high level, President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella stated this in his press remarks following the expanded meeting with President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, APA reports.
The Italian President said that they highly value the relations between the two countries: “Italy demonstrates a positive position in the development of Azerbaijan’s relations with the European Union. I believe we will take new steps to further develop the relations between our two countries. I am very pleased that tomorrow, together with President Ilham Aliyev, we will take part in the opening of the Italy–Azerbaijan University.”
