A delegation from the Italy-Azerbaijani Interparliamentary Friendship Group, on an official visit to Azerbaijan, toured the Alley of Honor and Victory Park on April 29, the Press and Public Relations Department of the Milli Majlis told APA.
At the Alley of Honor, the delegation paid deep respects to the memory of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, the architect and founder of modern independent Azerbaijan, by laying floral tributes at his grave.
During the visit, the Italian parliamentarians also visited Victory Park in Baku, where they laid flowers at the monument and respectfully honored the memory of those who fell in the Patriotic War. The guests were informed about the Victory Park, established to preserve the memory of the Azerbaijani people’s unmatched heroism during the Patriotic War and the magnificent historical victory, as well as to immortalize the memory of the martyrs.
The guests were accompanied by Azerbaijani MP Azer Karimli, head of the Working Group for the Azerbaijani-Italian Interparliamentary Relations, and other official representatives.
